    Mehmet Kutman named ' Personality of the Year'

    Chairman of Global Ports Holding, Mehmet Kutman, was named "Personality of the Year" in Seatrade Cruise Awards
    The world's largest independent cruise port operator, Global Ports Holding, stood in the forefront at the Mediterranean's most prestigious cruise platform, Seatrade Cruise Med 2016. Global Ports Holding swept its way to the top at the Seatrade Cruise Awards 2016, after Chairman, Mr. Mehmet Kutman, was named 'Personality of the Year'.
    Seatrade Cruise Med, held every two years, kicked off this year's events with the leading cruise industry representatives. This year, Seatrade Cruise Med brought together over 180 organizations and 3,500 participants worldwide to attend the fair at Tenerife between September 21st and 23rd. As in previous years, Global Ports Holding, with its leading position in cruise industry, exhibited at its booth representing all its 11 ports and terminals.
    Global Ports Holding's CEO, Mr. Emre Sayın, made a presentation on Global Ports' current potential, future outlook and its innovative approaches in a press conference, to industry executives and journalists from various countries of the world. Industry leaders attended a cocktail organized by Global Ports Holding after the press conference.
    Global Ports Holding's Marketing Director, Ms. Carla Salvadό, a keynote speaker at the event, captivated the audience with her speech on the importance on building good relationships between port and city.
    The winners of the 2016 Seatrade Cruise Awards, were announced on September 22nd during a ceremony at the Auditorio de Tenerife 'Adán Martín'in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as part of Seatrade Cruise Med. The awards, celebrating their tenth anniversary this year, reward the very best of international cruise industry success. Seatrade Personality of the Year Award 2016 was awarded to Mr. Mehmet Kutman, Chairman and CEO of Global Investment Holdings and Chairman of Global Ports Holding. Emre Sayın, CEO of Global Ports Holding, was in attendance at the ceremony, and accepted the award on behalf of Mehmet Kutman.
    Mr. Sayın mentioned that, Mr. Kutman extends his sincerest gratitude to the selection committee and Seatrade for giving him the honor as the new kid on the block and allowing him to share this award with such industry legends. Also, he underlined that, a cruise can be a better experience when the cruise lines and the cruise ports work together to improve on-shore services, better coordination in security, congestion management and an even better environment, thanks to new technologies like LNG.
    Emre Sayın expressed that, "we are extremely proud to have received this prestigious award in the international cruise tourism arena and we share this award with Turkey's tourism sector as a sign of good times to come."
