As part of our ongoing projects at St. Lucia Cruise Port (SLCP), we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. This is a critical role, responsible for overseeing complex construction activities and ensuring successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects under safety, quality, and budget standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage construction projects from planning through completion, provide compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders across all construction phases.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Review engineering designs, technical drawings, and construction methodologies.
- Identify project risks, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions when required.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, cost updates, and technical documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
- Liaise with architects, government authorities, port operators, and internal project teams.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support procurement and contractor selection processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of construction processes and site safety practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams.
- Participate in ad-hoc engineering and infrastructure-related projects as required.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction engineering, with proven delivery of large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or port-related projects.
- Strong experience managing projects end-to-end, including budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software.
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, engineering standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Experience working in international environments.
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced project environments and adapt to changing priorities.
