Bar: The New Non-EU Cruise Destination in the Adriatic
Strategically located on the Adriatic, near major cruise destinations such as Dubrovnik (56 NM) and Corfu (153 NM) Bar Cruise Port stands out as a new destination for cruises. After Global Ports Holding management took over, the port has allocated one of its piers to cruise ship traffic. A cruise terminal building is planned to increase the appeal of the port for cruise passengers. With its two quays at 290 m and 200 m, the port can accommodate cruise liners over 300 m as well. Cruises have been calling in at Bar since 2016.
The surrounding area has a major tourism appeal. Modern Bar was built almost entirely after World War II in a contemporary architectural style featuring wide boulevards. The port is close to main tourist attractions such as Ulcinj, Lake Skadar, the River of Crnojević, Ostrog Monastery, Budva and Sveti Stefan. Kotor is around one hour’s drive away.
On top of its natural and historic appeal and pleasant climate, Bar Cruise Port is one of the few Non-EU ports in the Adriatic region. Bar boasts many attractive attributes which will breathe new life into Adriatic cruise itineraries.
Catania: Gateway to South-East Sicily, the land of cruisers
Catania is located in the middle of the Mediterranean, at the crossroads of major cruise itineraries.
Situated at the Sporgente Centrale quay, the terminal is integrated is integrated with the surrounding city representing the starting point of the water front; just a short stroll from the railway station and a 10-minute drive to the Vincenzo Bellini international Airport.
The port has three cruise quays to serve even the latest generation of cruise ships, with up to 500 m in length, while depth is 10-13 m.
The cruise pier features a large area convenient for transportation, with a designated shore excursion location and parking for coaches and taxis, making it an ideal place to stop.

and the port is also a gateway to the Etna, Taormina, Syracuse and other hidden treasures. A destination for all seasons and for all tastes, it combines natural wonders, UNESCO

Ravenna is a city of mosaics and UNESCO sites, and a top destination thanks to its geographical location. Its proximity to Bologna (1h), Motor Valley (1,15h), Venice lagoon (1,15h) and the independent Republic of San Marino, as well as the reduced travel time to Florence (2h) thanks to the recently completed high speed rail connections, all make it an attractive cruise destination. Ravenna Cruise Port has a 600 m2 cruise terminal serving a 300 m long pier with 2 berths for ships up to 330 m length. A
larger terminal (2,000 m2) can be set up for homeporting or inter-porting ships during the cruise season. The terminal is located at the Porto Corsini waterfront, 20 minutes’ drive from Ravenna city centre (and connected with a shuttle service), between the yacht marina, beaches and a pine forest: A beautiful natural setting that perfectly matches its cheerful and vibrant atmosphere.
Lisbon: State-of-the-art terminal to be opened in 2017
Lisbon Cruise Terminals, the company which operates the cruise terminals in Lisbon and belongs to the Global Ports Holding network, is building a new cruise facility. The new Lisbon Cruise Terminals, ready during the first semester of 2017, will cover around 13,800 m2. The facility will house the of ces of the competent authorities, tourist services, food and beverage outlets, shops, luggage storage and airport express services, check-in counters (cruise and ight), and crew support services, aiming for the comfort of all visitors, passengers and crew. Safety and security, environmental care as well as comfort and customer service are the three main pillars of the new terminal concept. With a capacity of 1.8 million passengers a year and a pier of 1,490 m, the port of Lisbon will be able to receive from the smallest to the largest ships in the world.
